2020 Fall Wine Release is LIVE through September 18, 2020
Whoa! September has arrived and so has our 2020 Fall Wine Release. We are thrilled to release our two most popular wines this month. Our 2019 Smith Story Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma County and the 2018 Smith Story Helluva Vineyard, Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley.
These two Smith Story wines will certainly take you on a journey to the top of the Sonoma Mountain AVA and through the beautiful winding CA 128 West in the Anderson Valley. Our 2019 is sleek and sexy, while our new 2018 Helluva Vineyard Pinot Noir is very classic "Smith Story Style" with incredible aromatics and graceful fruit that always helps you end the day with a smile.
Please login to your profile (login is on the upper righthand corner of the Purchase page) and click on Allocations. If you are a Storyteller Wine Club member, your Fall Shipment can be found under Order History to see your 2020 Fall Shipment. If you want to order additional wines, please email us directly so we can add this to your club shipment.
Please please please update your current 1) shipping address and 2) credit card information. 2020 has created havoc on the shipping addresses among other ridiculousness.
We will begin running wine club orders later today to prepare our DIY shipping department. If you have orders currently on "summer heat hold", we will combine them with your Fall Shipment. Wines will begin shipping as soon as the weather cools from Philo to your place.
Both of these special wines are limited online and are going to help us all end the year hopefully on a delicious high-note!
Harvest 2020 - to pick or not to pick? What a year man. We await smoke-taint analysis and making decisions in the vineyards. To be honest it's not looking great at all. Sigh.
On this day exactly 6 years ago we were successfully launched on Kickstarter. What a journey it's been. Looking back, we were newlyweds when we started Smith Story Wine Cellars, our 80lb Sandwich was two year old (and still a very large puppy) and since then have weathered the wild fires, floods, droughts and now month nine of a world pandemic.
Today, we are standing tall, albeit brutally exhausted but we got this. Thankful for the gorgeous Smith Story wines we've had our focus on sharply all these beginning years and are honored to have earned your business along this way. Our Kickstarter backers believed in us before a single drop of wine was produced. We have held ourselves and our winemaking practices accountable to working with sustainable, responsible family owned vineyards and farms. Thank you for your loyal support, we remain hopeful and determined to keep Smith Story Wine Cellars an important and fun part of your life.
Of all the Fall Wine Offerings (this is our 6th!) this is the very most important for our family winery and overall sanity too! It's going to be a very long while for our wholesale and restaurant partners to fully recover. Thank you for asking for Smith Story in your home towns, the open doors have been so wonderful for us and for our biz partners and sales teams across the nation.
Peace and love,
Ali & Eric Story
