Pickberry Vineyard, Sonoma Mountain AVA. 
We began working with the Pickberry Vineyard in 2015, long before the "Pickleball" craze took over tennis courts across America, but often referred to as "Pickleberry" by customers that always creates a chuckle. This iconic vineyard was named by the family's children in their younger years, they often visited from their home in the East Bay to pick wild blackberries on the property and referred to the land as such! Our Smith Story Pickberry Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has received wildly awesome reviews from wine critics and connoisseurs alike. 

This wine truly personifies what California cabernet sauvignon is meant to taste like. Complex without heaviness, vibrant with elegance and a nose that brings you back to your favorite chair sipping fireside perhaps. The 2019 is yet to be rated, but trust us here, it's a blockbuster wine. The owners of Pickberry recently joined us for our Glen Ellen Star dinner and raved about the 2019 too! We are equally proud and honored!

We've been asked what we need most these days to help our winery thrive, simply support us through purchase and sharing the Smith Story with others. Tasting room visits have been incredibly down this year, shipping fees are up along with the cost of everything that goes into producing wine. We have faith that our Story, our wines and our people will take us to a level of achievement that we are so ready for.

If you are in the area this weekend, Bacchus Landing is hosting a Holiday Bazaar for local artisans and small businesses. Smith Story is featuring Ali's vintage decor collection and old and rare books during wine tastings as well. 11-5pm both this Saturday and Sunday. Our room is full of holiday magic, we look forward to seeing many of you.
